D I Y Windows was launched by Simon Gingell, who has been in the double glazing industry for over 25 years. Starting within manufacturing, working on the benches making windows and doors, he then moved into management of production. He then decided to get out on the tools, and was actively fitting for over 5 years, setting new standards and constantly striving for the highest quality, giving feedback to the factory. Whilst learning to install he gained first-hand knowledge to do surveys, and this led him to get involved with customers on surveys and sales. He also has a retail side to the company who has been servicing in Bath and surrounding areas; 'Itís our unique care and attention to detail that sets us apart from the rest.' Simon starts the day first in, and is last to leave. He is an active part of the company, and will still go onsite and help with installations and surveys.
